The 5 Phases of Project Workshop
Unpacking the TaskTo launch each task, students receive a packet of instructions and resources to unpack collaboratively. Students use their group roles to make sense of the day's task.
Independent GrappleTo begin the task, students first work independently. This gives students a chance to grow their problems solving muscles and apply their own thinking before getting input from peers.
Collaboration TimeThe bulk of each workshop is Collaboration Time. This is a time for students to exchange ideas, get feedback and support each other in tackling problems.

SharingProtocols can help students share in equitable ways. Adjust the protocols to match the goals you have for the conversation.
